Marketing... or Terrorist Attack?

I find it odd this is the request - I just learned about this not an hour ago (perhaps because I am news-clueless).

Cartoon Network (based in Atlanta, by the way) contracted people to hang up these glowing cartoon guys around cities to advertise Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Only, Boston had a big problem with this. They thought it was part of a terrorist attack and closed down the city.

These guys, the ones who hung them up in Boston, are being charged. And yet all they can talk about is hair. Because the situation is THAT ridiculous. Read more.

Genius. Pure genius.

The world is an expletive place!

Since my friend gave me all this info, she got to pick the next item... and she would like a very interesting lamp.

OMG - I know, stupid Boston! 9 other cities had these things up and no one made such a big deal out of it. It looks like an angry cartoon guy, not a bomb! According to Opie & Anthony, two of my favorite guys, the whole thing looks like a lite brite and has NO WHERE for a bomb to hide. Frigging idiots.
